I tried to make life easier by combining this week's challenge with making something for my daughter's birthday party. I wish I could say I was successful, but......

I planned to make the cookies the night before the party to save myself time the day of. All was well until they were in the oven and we tried to put together the Barbie Dreamhouse while they baked. After getting all the damn pieces out of the box, we discover the main part is broken 😡. So then we have to try to put it all back into the box.... 🫥. In the midst of my mini break down I turned off the timer but forgot to pull the cookies so they were overly brown.

The next challenge was the marshmallow icing. It didn't state whether to have the butter at room temp, but I assumed to mix it it would have to be. Well the icing was ridiculously runny and got everywhere. I kept adding powdered sugar, but the cookies kept sliding apart. I put them in the fridge and hoped they solidified. They looked real messy.

In summary, I'm glad these were just an extra dessert to the mini bundt cupcakes.
